Google Tasks

Google Tasks is a productivity app that allows users to create simple to-do lists to organise tasks, set due dates, and manage daily priorities across devices. Its straightforward design makes it accessible to students, remote teams, and everyday users seeking basic task management within the Google ecosystem.

I conducted lightweight user research to validate the need for a redesign. Through qualitative interviews, I identified friction points and behavioural barriers affecting adoption. These insights directly informed feature improvements and UX adjustments, resulting in unanimous interest from participants in using the updated product.

Designing features users genuinely wanted was more challenging than anticipated. Through several rounds of iteration and feedback, I developed solutions that effectively addressed core user pain points for both experienced and casual users, improving usability and engagement. This process enhanced my expertise in designing for diverse user needs and strengthened my confidence navigating complex, ambiguous product spaces.
